Who is behind Gbé Mi
Gbé Mi is a Beninese company, registered in Cotonou, running a shared electric scooter service and the mobile app that drives it.
The problem we work on
Cotonou moves constantly and stops often. Over short distances — two to five kilometres — a car loses its advantage and the trip becomes a negotiation with traffic.
Gbé Mi adds one more option over those distances: an electric vehicle available by the minute, paid from a phone, with no cash to prepare and nothing to park at home.
The service is built for the city as it actually is. Parking zones are drawn neighbourhood by neighbourhood, and the fleet is maintained locally by our own teams.
What we do
- We run a fleet of shared electric scooters in Cotonou: deployment, charging, maintenance and supervision of the vehicles.
- We publish and operate the Gbé Mi mobile app, which lets riders find a scooter, buy a pass, unlock a vehicle and follow their rides.
- We maintain the city's riding and parking zones, updated continuously with local authorities and partners.
